Cookies

The websites use technically necessary cookies. These are used to make our offer more user-friendly, effective, and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and are stored by your browser.

As far as other cookies are stored, these will be treated separately in this privacy policy.

Server log files

The provider of the sites automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files that your browser automatically transmits to us. These include:

  • Browser type and browser version

  • Referrer URL
  • Hostname of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

No merging of this data with other data sources will be carried out.

The collection of this data is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimization of its website – for this purpose, server log files must be collected.

Contact form

If you submit inquiries to us via the contact form, your details from the inquiry form, including the contact details you provide there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We will not disclose this data without your consent.

The processing of this data is carried out on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, provided that your request is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. The data entered by you in the contact form will remain with us until you request its deletion, revoke your consent to its storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g., after the completion of processing of your request). Compulsory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.

Request form on our trade show and landing pages

On individual pages (e.g. for MEDICA), we offer an inquiry form. Your details (name, company, email address, phone number, number of people, hotel or pickup location, travel period, desired service and vehicle, and your message) are submitted by email to us and are used exclusively for processing your request and preparing a quote. We will send an automatic confirmation of receipt to the email address you provided. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in processing requests).

To protect against abuse (spam), an unrecoverable checksum (hash) is generated from your IP address when sending a request and stored for a maximum of one hour to limit the number of requests. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The storage period for the request data is as stated above for the contact form.

In all other cases, the processing is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and/or on our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), since we have a legitimate interest in effectively processing the requests submitted to us.

The data you send to us via contact requests remains with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to its storage, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g., after your request has been processed). Compulsory statutory provisions – in particular statutory retention periods – remain unaffected.

We collect, process and use personal data only to the extent necessary for the establishment, content development or modification of the legal relationship (inventory data). This is done on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, which permits the processing of data for the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures. We collect, process and use personal data related to the use of this website (usage data) only to the extent necessary to enable the user to use the service or to bill them for it.

The customer data collected will be deleted after the completion of the order or termination of the business relationship. Legal retention periods remain unaffected.

Data transfer upon contract conclusion for services and digital content

We only transmit personal data to third parties when this is necessary as part of the contract process, for example to the credit institution entrusted with payment processing.

Any further transmission of the data will not take place unless you have explicitly consented to it. Your data will not be disclosed to third parties without your express consent, for example for advertising purposes.

The basis for data processing is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, which permits the processing of data for the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures.

Tracking

Tracking and logging (hereinafter: „WebAnalytics“) are enabled by default on this website.

With what technologies does the website operator collect data?

The data is either determined by a pixel or by a log file. To protect personal data, WebAnalytics does not use cookies.

The visitor's IP address is transmitted during the transmission of a page request; after transmission, it is immediately anonymized and processed without any personal reference.

What data does the website operator store about me?

The website operator does not store any personal data from website visitors so that no conclusions can be drawn about individual visitors. The following data is collected:

  • Referrer (previously visited website)
  • Requested webpage or file
  • Browser type and browser version
  • Used operating system
  • Type of device used
  • Time of access
  • IP address in anonymized form (only used to determine the location of the access)

For what purpose are the data collected?

In WebAnalytics, data is collected exclusively for statistical analysis and technical optimization of the web site.

Consent management (cookie settings)

On your first visit, we ask you in a pop-up banner whether you agree to the use of Google Analytics. We store your decision („Allow statistics“ or „Only necessary“) in your browser’s local storage (localStorage, entry „cc_consent“) so that the banner does not reappear every time you visit the page. This storage is absolutely necessary for providing the service you requested (§ 25, Para. 2, No. 2 TDDDG); no data is transmitted to us in this process. You can change or revoke your decision at any time via the „Cookie Settings“ link in the footer.

Google Analytics

This website uses – exclusively with your consent – the functions of the web analytics service Google Analytics 4. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland („Google“).

Google Analytics allows us to evaluate the use of our website, e.g. page views, time spent, devices and browsers used, approximate origin (country/city) and interactions such as clicks on phone or email links and submitted requests. Cookies or comparable technologies are stored on your device to this end, and usage information is transmitted to Google servers. This may also involve the transmission of data to Google LLC in the USA. IP addresses are not logged or stored in Google Analytics 4.

Google Analytics will only be loaded after you have selected „Allow statistics“ in the cookie banner. The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG. The consent can be revoked at any time with effect for the future via „Cookie settings“ in the footer.

The data transfer to the USA is based on the EU Commission adequacy decision regarding the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, under which Google LLC is certified. We have also concluded a contract with Google for the processing of orders. The storage period for the analysis data is based on the settings in our Google Analytics account. For more information, please see the Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

5. Third-party content on the website

Our website integrates content from other providers. This can be pure content elements (e.g., news, updates), but also widgets (functions, such as booking systems) or, for example, fonts and technical libraries. This also includes Google Fonts. For technical reasons, this is done by loading these content from other servers by the browser. In this context, the IP address currently used by your browser and the browser used by the requesting system are transmitted. Please note the respective privacy policies of the third-party providers in this regard.

OpenStreetMaps

We use the OpenStreetMap Foundation’s Open Source Maps service „OpenStreetMaps“ (also called „OSM“) to display geo-data. This service is provided by OpenStreetMap Foundation, 132 Maney Hill Road, Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands, B72 1JU, United Kingdom. OSM is used to provide an interactive map on our website that shows you how to find and reach us. This service allows us to present our website in an appealing way by loading map material from an external server. The following data is transmitted to the OSM servers when displaying the service: the data of our websites that you have visited, the IP address of your device, and data entered by you for route planning. The legal basis for processing your data in connection with the „OSM“ service is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in data processing). The legitimate interest arises from our need for an appealing presentation of our online offering and for the easy finding of the locations specified on our website.

For more information on how user data is handled, please see OSM's privacy policy: https://wiki.osmfoundation.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy
