What is an empty leg?

After a job, our vehicles often return without a passenger – for example, after a transfer from Frankfurt to Paris, the journey back to Frankfurt. We offer you these return journeys as empty legs at a fixed price, well below the regular fare.

Why is there a time window for the pick-up?

The empty leg depends on a previous job. Within the stated time window, you choose your pick-up time in 15-minute steps. This time is then binding.

Can I change the starting point or destination?

The route is fixed. Small deviations within the same city are often possible by arrangement. For other routes, please use our regular booking.

How short-notice can I book?

Empty legs can be booked online up to 3 hours before pick-up. New journeys are often added only a few days in advance, so the preferred-route alert is well worth it.

You pay online when booking via a secure payment link. All prices include 19 % VAT. For corporate clients, we issue an invoice on request.

How much does a chauffeur cost in Düsseldorf?

You pay a fixed price based on distance or duration and vehicle class. Our online booking shows the price instantly. For companies, events and multiple rides we are happy to prepare an individual quote.

How long does the chauffeur wait at the airport?

Airport pick-ups include 60 minutes of waiting time. Your chauffeur meets you with a name sign right after baggage claim. You receive your driver's name, licence plate and contact details the day before the ride.

Can I cancel free of charge?

Yes, cancellation is free of charge up to 24 hours before pickup. For transfers, the following charges apply after that: 25 % of the fare between 24 and 6 hours before pickup, 50 % between 6 and 2 hours before, and 100 % less than 2 hours before pickup. Hourly bookings can be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours in advance; after that, the full price is due.

How short-notice can I book?

Subject to availability, also at short notice – fastest by phone. As a licensed private hire company with chauffeurs, we operate exclusively on advance booking and always at the price agreed beforehand.

Do you offer company accounts?

Yes. Following your enquiry, we register your company with us and set up the company account. Your employees or office team then book journeys themselves and manage all bookings in one place. Billing is conveniently by invoice. Simply request it via our enquiry form.

Can I pay by invoice?

Yes, for corporate and private clients. You can also pay by credit card via a payment link, by PayPal or directly to the driver.

Are child seats available?

Yes. Baby seat €3.50, child seat up to 3 years and child seat 3–6 years €4.00 each, booster seat free of charge. Simply state your child’s age or weight when booking and we will bring the right seat.

Do you also drive outside Düsseldorf?

Yes. With our own fleet, Düsseldorf and the Rhine-Ruhr region are our home. Rides throughout Germany and Europe as well as larger operations with Sprinters and coaches are organised with vetted partner companies.

What is an empty ride?

After completing a trip, our vehicles often drive back without a passenger, for example after a transfer from Frankfurt to Paris back to Frankfurt. We offer these return trips as a single journey at a fixed price, significantly below the regular price.

Is the service the same as with a normal booking?

Yes. You travel with a professional driver in a well-maintained premium vehicle of the booked category. Discretion, punctuality, and service are identical to any other ride with ComfortCars.

What happens when our plans change?

Empty rides arise from our scheduling. If that changes, an empty ride may also be cancelled in the short term. In that case, we will inform you immediately by email and refund you the full amount. If possible, we will also offer you a replacement ride for the same fixed price.

Why is there a time window for picking up the items?

The time of delivery is linked to an earlier order. Within the specified time window, you choose your pickup time in 15-minute increments. That time is then binding.

Can I change the departure point or the destination?

The route is fixed. Minor deviations within the same city are often possible in consultation. For other routes, please use our regular booking system.

How early can I book?

Lege rides can be booked online up to 3 hours before pickup. New rides often don't arrive until a few days in advance, which is why a reservation is worth it.

Can I bring luggage or a child seat?

Normal-sized luggage is included in the fixed price. We are happy to arrange a child seat for you: just give us a call after booking or send us a message and we will arrange it for your ride.
