What is an empty leg?

After a job, our vehicles often return without a passenger – for example, after a transfer from Frankfurt to Paris, the journey back to Frankfurt. We offer you these return journeys as empty legs at a fixed price, well below the regular fare.

Is the service the same as with a normal booking?

Yes. You travel with a professional chauffeur in a well-kept premium vehicle of the category booked. Discretion, punctuality and service are identical to any other ComfortCars journey.

What happens if our schedule changes?

Empty legs arise from our operational planning. If this changes, an empty leg may be cancelled at short notice. In that case, we will inform you immediately by email and refund the full amount. Where possible, we will also offer you an alternative journey at the same fixed price.

Why is there a time window for the pick-up?

The empty leg depends on a previous job. Within the stated time window, you choose your pick-up time in 15-minute steps. This time is then binding.

Can I change the starting point or destination?

The route is fixed. Small deviations within the same city are often possible by arrangement. For other routes, please use our regular booking.

How short-notice can I book?

Empty legs can be booked online up to 3 hours before pick-up. New journeys are often added only a few days in advance, so the preferred-route alert is well worth it.

Can I bring luggage or a child seat?

Luggage in the usual amount is included in the fixed price. We are happy to provide a child seat: just give us a quick call or write to us after booking and we will arrange it for your journey.

You pay online when booking via a secure payment link. All prices include 19 % VAT. For corporate clients, we issue an invoice on request.

How much does a chauffeur cost in Düsseldorf?

You pay a fixed price based on distance or duration and vehicle class. Our online booking shows the price instantly. For companies, events and multiple rides we are happy to prepare an individual quote.

How long does the chauffeur wait at the airport?

Airport pick-ups include 60 minutes of waiting time. Your chauffeur meets you with a name sign right after baggage claim. You receive your driver's name, licence plate and contact details the day before the ride.

Can I cancel free of charge?

Yes, cancellation is free of charge up to 24 hours before pickup. For transfers, the following charges apply after that: 25 % of the fare between 24 and 6 hours before pickup, 50 % between 6 and 2 hours before, and 100 % less than 2 hours before pickup. Hourly bookings can be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours in advance; after that, the full price is due.

How short-notice can I book?

Subject to availability, also at short notice – fastest by phone. As a licensed private hire company with chauffeurs, we operate exclusively on advance booking and always at the price agreed beforehand.

Do you offer company accounts?

Yes. Following your enquiry, we register your company with us and set up the company account. Your employees or office team then book journeys themselves and manage all bookings in one place. Billing is conveniently by invoice. Simply request it via our enquiry form.

Can I pay by invoice?

Yes, for corporate and private clients. You can also pay by credit card via a payment link, by PayPal or directly to the driver.

Are child seats available?

Yes. Baby seat €3.50, child seat up to 3 years and child seat 3–6 years €4.00 each, booster seat free of charge. Simply state your child’s age or weight when booking and we will bring the right seat.

Do you also drive outside Düsseldorf?

Yes. With our own fleet, Düsseldorf and the Rhine-Ruhr region are our home. Rides throughout Germany and Europe as well as larger operations with Sprinters and coaches are organised with vetted partner companies.

Which languages do you speak?

In German, English, Arabic and Chinese.

Common questions about one-way flights

What is a round-trip ticket?

After completing an order, our vehicles often return empty, for example from Frankfurt to Paris and back to Frankfurt. We offer these return trips as empty leg flights at a fixed price, significantly lower than the regular price.

Are the services exactly the same as regular bookings?

Yes. You will be transported in a well-maintained, high-end vehicle of the booked category by a professional dedicated driver. The privacy, punctuality, and service are exactly the same as for any ComfortCars other trip.

What if our plans change?

The connecting flights are based on our scheduled departures. If the schedule changes, the connecting flights may also be cancelled temporarily. In that case, we will immediately notify you via email and offer a full refund. If possible, we will also offer you an alternative itinerary at the same fixed price.

Why are there time limits for pick-up?

The flight duration is linked to the previous order. You can choose the pickup time within a specified time interval of 15 minutes; the selected time is the determined time.

Can I change the starting or ending point?

The route is fixed. Minor adjustments within the same city are usually possible after consultation. For other routes, please use our regular booking system.

How much in advance can I book?

One-way trips can be booked online up to 3 hours before pickup. New itineraries are usually not published until a few days before departure, so we recommend setting up route reminders.

Can I bring luggage or use a child seat?

Standard baggage allowance is included in the fixed price. We are happy to provide you with a child seat: please call or leave a message after booking and we will arrange it for your trip.

How to pay?

Pay online through the secure payment link when booking. All prices include 19% VAT. We can issue invoices for corporate customers if required.
